My eSIM was deleted — can I reinstall it?

Last updated: June 24, 2026

In most cases, a deleted travel eSIM cannot be reinstalled using the original QR code. The profile was tied to a single installation and is no longer valid.

Check if your device offers a restore option

Some devices store a copy of recently removed eSIM profiles. Before requesting a replacement, check:

iPhone: Settings → Cellular → scroll down to look for a Recently Deleted section or an option to restore a previous eSIM

Samsung: Settings → Connections → SIM card manager → check for any stored profiles

If a restore option appears, try it. This only works on the same device the eSIM was originally installed on.

If no restore option is available

You will need a new profile issued. Contact support through the app. Include your subscription or order reference and your device model.

Do not delete your travel eSIM while abroad or before your trip has ended. Reinstallation is not guaranteed and a replacement requires a support request.
