My QR code is already used or my activation is pending

If your QR code or installation link isn't working, the right fix depends on which state it's in. There are three common ones.
"This QR code has already been used"
QR codes for your travel eSIM are one-time. Once you scan it and the eSIM installs on a device, the same QR code can't be used again. If you scanned it on the wrong device, deleted the eSIM, or want to install on a different device, you'll need a new QR code.
Contact us with your your travel eSIM subscription details and we'll issue a new QR code.
"Activation pending" or "Activating…" stuck on screen
If your eSIM installed but your line shows pending or activating for more than 5 to 10 minutes, the network attach is still in progress. Try:
- Turn airplane mode on for 30 seconds, then off.
- Restart your device.
- Confirm mobile data is enabled for the your travel eSIM line in your device settings.
If it stays pending after all three, contact us with your subscription ID. We'll check the activation status on our side and reissue if needed.
"Expired" or "invalid" error on the device
If your device shows an "expired" or "invalid" error when you scan or tap the install link, this almost always means the code was already used on another device or in another attempt. Contact us and we will issue a new code.
