My travel eSIM isn't working abroad
Last updated: June 24, 2026
Use this when your travel eSIM was working but has stopped, or is not connecting after arrival.
Before you start
- Confirm you are in a country covered by your plan — see What countries are covered?
- Confirm data roaming is enabled on your travel eSIM line — see Do I need roaming enabled?
Step 1 — Toggle airplane mode
Enable for 30 seconds, then disable. This resets the network connection.
Step 2 — Restart your device
A full restart forces the device to re-register on the local network.
Step 3 — Check your data balance
If your data allowance is used up, service will stop. See What happens when I run out of data?.
Step 4 — Select a network manually
iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Network Selection → turn off Automatic → choose a network from the list
Android: Settings → Network & internet → Mobile network → Network operators → Search manually
Try each available network. Switch back to Automatic once you find one that connects.
Step 5 — Toggle roaming on the travel eSIM off and back on
Still not working?
Contact support through the app. Include: the country you are in, your device model, your data balance, and the steps already tried.
